Buildspec was an ambitious new startup on a mission to fix a surprisingly overlooked problem in home ownership: nobody truly knows what’s behind their walls. From materials and paint colours to plumbing routes and vendor details, most homes lack the basic documentation needed for cost-effective improvements or long-term care. Buildspec set out to change that, creating a digital record that could be maintained by both builders and homeowners, and passed down from one generation to the next. We helped shape the brand from the ground up, taking their naming we crafted a visual identity that balanced trust with innovation. From there, we collaborated on the design of both mobile and web platforms, ensuring the experience felt as smart, clear, and dependable as the product itself.

Initial Concepts

Every concept comes from somewhere. After research, stakeholder interviews, competitor as well as competitive research, we dive in to brainstorm. After exploration, great ideas move forward, this stage of a project is so exciting and rewarding.
